The Church of the Blessed Sacrament, a parish in the Archdiocese of New York, is planning to hold a fundraising dance party organized by the parish's "Gay Fellowship" group benefiting the Born This Way Foundation and the Ali Forney Center on June 17th.
The dance party has been dubbed, "Moving With the Spirit."[1]
The Born This Way Foundation was co-founded by the pro-homosexual and pro-transgender pop singer, Lady Gaga.
To sponsor such a dance shows disregard for the Church's teaching against the sin of homosexuality and normalizes the sin.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church clearly states the following:
"Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved." (Catechism of the Catholic Church 2357)[2]
The parish's pro-homosexual group, "Gay Fellowship" is led by an open homosexual that is "married" to his homosexual partner giving the idea that same-sex "marriage" is normal too.
We cannot allow the sin of sodomy to be promoted and accepted—above all within the sacred walls of our churches!
We cannot allow the normalization of the sin of homosexuality.
