When St. Peter warned the Church about a future evolution revolution, he linked the loss of faith in the fiat creation of all things and in a global flood with a false belief that "things have always been the same since the beginning of creation" and with a loss of faith in the future glorious coming of Christ (2 Peter 3). This remarkable prophecy recognized that if "things have always been the same," and the different kinds of living things, including man, came into existence gradually through the same kinds of natural processes that are going on now, then it would be logical to expect the end of human history to arrive after long ages of the same kinds of processes we observe today. Consequently, those who embrace theistic evolution easily grow accustomed to explaining everything in terms of natural causes and lose their faith in the supernatural power of God and in the imminent return of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Advent reminds us that we cannot understand God's love for this world and the certainty of His glorious return to restore all things if we do not believe in His original fiat Creation of all things for us in the beginning. Without a clear understanding of the original perfection of the universe, it is easy to fall prey to the evolution deception that man has progressed from a "primitive" state and that his on-going evolution will result in some kind of utopia in the future. Advent hope then becomes hope in a New World Order rather than in God's restoration of the original order of Creation. Fidelity to Tradition can then be seen as rigidity and resistance to progress. Only the restoration of the traditional doctrine of creation will allow Church leaders and lay faithful to reaffirm the fundamental truth that Jesus came to restore and perfect what was lost, not to evolve something new.
The grip of evolutionary mythology on the modern mind is so strong that only a special grace from God can liberate us from its spell. After the Holy Mass and participation in the Sacred Liturgy, the best way to obtain the grace of purity of faith and protection from error is to pray the Holy Rosary every day. One of our friends in New Zealand has established a website to inspire Catholics all over the world to "pray the Rosary every day so that there will be peace" as Our Lady of Fatima asked almost 100 years ago. Please visit the website and consider making an Advent resolution to pray the Holy Rosary every day, if possible with your family, for the restoration of all things in Christ, beginning with the restoration of the true Catholic doctrine of creation, the foundation of the Holy Gospel.

That is because so many of her influential thinkers have abandoned the sound creation theology of the Fathers and Doctors of the Church and have embraced instead the false principles of evolutionism." He went on to commend Fr. Warkulwiz for his "accurate, thorough, and readable answers...to many questions about origins that perplex the modern Catholic." He commends this present work for the same reasons.

In this translation of Helmut Posch's important work on the writings of St. Hildegard of Bingen on creation, biophysicist Dr. Dean H. Kenyon shows that this Benedictine nun and Doctor of the Church was shown the workings of the solar system on the same pattern as that conceived by the Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe, the greatest astronomer of his age, several hundred years before him. Dr. Kenyon's translation goes on to show that this Hildegardian conception of the universe actually explains the astronomical data better than the alternative models of the solar system that have been in fashion for the last few hundred years, while restoring man and the Earth to their rightful place in God's plan for Creation.
